UNITY REVOLUTION protested and human chained in support of cancellation of power contract with India's Adani and implementation of China's proposed Teesta project. The human chain was held in Chaumuhana square of the city yesterday noon.
At that time, the speakers said that the contract with Adani should be canceled and Bangladesh's electricity supply should be increased. They also said that due to the contract with Adani Group, our electricity bills are getting higher. Note that Adani Power will completely stop power supply by November 7 if the dues of $850 million are not paid.
Bulbul Ahmed Suzel, Ashfakur Rahman Chowdhury Shimel, Tajik Anam Jami, Apu Alam, Mamum Tarafdar, Fahim Ahmed, Raihan Ahmed, Shahi Uddin and others spoke at the human chain.
